The Ugly® Hybrid 2
Hand Crafted in the USA
If you like to do a lot of turns from the nose, the “H2” is for you. The Hybrid 2 is highly responsive in the turns, has snappier cutbacks, and more turns are accessible from the nose.
It’s lighter because it can be thinner. The rails are angled to create lift along the hips and tail to make it ride higher on the surface for less resistance. The Ugly Hybrid 2’s nose is still wide, but it is also pointed, which allows for enhanced directional flow with greater sensitivity of turning from the nose while in the pocket or soup.
The Ugly Hybrid 2 incorporates all-new technology in its construction. We use state-of-the-art composite materials to keep it light and durable.
The Ugly Hybrid 2 is stable from front to back and side to side. Whether you’re a beginner starting to walk or ready to take on the challenges of noseriding, the Hybrid 2 will make it easy to race to the nose to give you that thrill of dangling your ten toes for a while.
The starting price of $1,650 for 8′ 5″ to 9′ 6″ includes a lightweight polyurethane foam blank, foam wedge stringer with 2 – 3/16″ wood stringers, fin box, 12 ounces (6 oz. + 6 oz.) “E” glass on the deck, 6 ounces “E” glass on the bottom, leash plug, and sanded finish (no gloss coat) to keep it even lighter.
